THE STORY

What awaits your team

A new-generation virus has hijacked every modern digital device — phones, laptops, smart locks, traffic systems. The machines are now turned against the people who built them. Your team starts the game locked in a corporate office where the equipment is actively hostile, and the only safe place left in the city is a retro electronics shop the virus can't touch.

Stage one: escape the office. Stage two: work with the eccentric old shopkeeper to rebuild a 1980s computer powerful enough to break into the digital world where the virus lives. Stage three: enter that world as 8-bit avatars, beat the classic arcade games guarding the source code, and assemble the killcode that takes the virus down.

Beat the final boss together. Or stay locked in the office while the city burns.

GAME STAGES

Inside the experience — 3 stages

Stage 1 visual — placeholder

Stage 1

Capture of the Machines

The city is overrun. The virus has every modern device under its control — smart locks, security robots, the elevator. Your team has to escape the office without triggering them, navigating a building that wants to keep you inside. Goal: reach the one place the virus can't follow.

Stage 2 visual — placeholder

Stage 2

Mystery of the Retro Shop

Grandpa Pitt's retro electronics shop is the only safe zone left. He and his assistants need help rebuilding an ancient computer powerful enough to fight the virus on its own ground. Solve puzzles, collect components, get the machine running.

Stage 3 visual — placeholder

Stage 3

Final Battle

Your team enters the old computer as 8-bit avatars. Play through the classic arcade games guarding the system, assemble the code fragments scattered across the levels, and meet the mysterious digital ally who hands you the weapon you need to take the virus down.

MAKE IT YOURS

Customize Mission 8-Bit for your team

Three layers of customization. Make the game distinctly yours.

  • TYPE 1

    Your team as 8-bit sprites

Each team member becomes a recognizable 8-bit pixel sprite with custom palette, name tag, and a small idle animation. Used as the playable cast across all three stages. The sprite sheet ships with the package — teams reuse them for Slack emojis, internal newsletter mascots, holiday cards. One team made physical stickers.

  • TYPE 2

Your office as the opening setting

Stage 1's office layout maps to your real office — break room, meeting rooms, the corner with the bad WiFi. Adds an extra layer of recognition when the smart lock on the kitchen door turns hostile.

  • TYPE 3

    Your products as in-game items

The components Grandpa Pitt asks you to find in Stage 2 are themed to your real products. The killcode in Stage 3 is themed to your annual roadmap. Lands at kickoffs without anyone needing to explain the metaphor.
