THE STORY

What awaits your team

History is the trivia format that teaches as much as it tests. Three rounds covering the ancient world to the 20th century, optimized so a team with one history nerd and four people who haven't opened a textbook in twenty years can still place top-three.

Round one is the classic recall — name the leader, place the war, sequence the empires. Round two pulls scenes from historical drama (Bridgerton, Chernobyl, The Crown, Dunkirk) and asks you to identify the era — fiction as the entry ramp to the actual history. Round three is anthems and historic music — the Marseillaise, the Soviet anthem, JFK's inauguration, the music of the moon landing.

Especially fun if your team has international scope — the Egyptian, Chinese, Roman, and Mughal empires all get fair coverage. Not just a Western history quiz.

GAME STAGES

Inside the experience — 3 stages

Timeline

Stage 1

Timeline

Themed round: order the dynasties, name the treaty, identify the leader from a portrait, place the war on a map. The round where the school-history grades finally pay off.

Period Pieces

Stage 2

Period Pieces

Video round: scenes from historical fiction — name the era, the country, and the actual event the scene is dramatizing. Bridgerton fans get rewarded; Chernobyl fans get rewarded harder.

Anthem Archive

Stage 3

Anthem Archive

Audio round: national anthems through history (the Marseillaise, God Save the Queen, the Soviet anthem), historic speeches, era-defining music. The round that turns into a quiet history lesson by question seven.
