Every three days, a new task the whole company does together: a haunted house your team lights up window by window, a map of silly prophecies, the witch’s familiars, everyday objects staring back at you. In between, solo quizzes for points. A fall carnival with zero jump scares, a minute on a phone.

Every three days, a big task for the whole company. On the days in between, a 1–2 minute solo task: a quiz or a quick round for points.
The gallery, the map and the canvas belong to the whole company. Post yours, then see what coworkers in other teams and cities made.
Points for solo tasks and for every approved entry in the shared ones. In contests, everyone gets three hearts per award to give to other people’s entries.
October day by day
On the first day of each window, a big task opens for the whole company and stays open for three days. The next two days bring short 1–2 minute solo tasks: a reason to check in and earn points. Below is a three-week October example; we match the length and the themes to your team, and the last window wraps up in time for your party.
Make your own ghost — out of a bedsheet, a paper napkin or a mug with googly eyes — and it moves into a window of the company’s haunted house. Window by window the house lights up, and by the finale it glows from cellar to attic.
“A ghost made from a paper napkin and two coffee beans. His name is Boris and he works the night shift”

All prophecies
Pin your city and leave your coworkers a silly prophecy for November: a surprise bonus, no line at the coffee machine until spring, a meeting that ends early. Click around the map to read what other offices are predicting.
“Denver: in November, a meeting will end ten minutes early. Tell no one”

A creaky door, footsteps on dry leaves: name it by ear. Zero jump scares.
One statement, one tap. The answer comes with the story.
Find a childhood photo in a Halloween costume, from trick-or-treating, a school parade or a birthday party: a vampire with homemade fangs, a pirate with drawn-on whiskers, a witch with a kitchen broom. Three days is plenty of time to ask your parents for that one picture.
“Vampire, 1999. Fangs from a candy aisle, a cape cut from a curtain, the scariest face I could make”

Guess where a creature from folklore comes from.
Werewolves, mummies and the family next door, the Addamses.
Recreate a scene from a friendly horror movie, no makeup, no budget: a bedsheet, a flashlight, a cat and some acting chops. Scenes you can shoot in a minute: The Addams Family, Casper, Ghostbusters, Beetlejuice, Hocus Pocus.
“The Addams Family: Wednesday’s dead-pan stare. I held it longer than in the quarterly review”

Every witch has a familiar, and so does every employee. Upload your cat, dog, ficus or favorite slipper cast as the witch’s helper, and it takes a spot on the shelf of the company’s witch shop. Fill the shelf and the cauldron starts to bubble.
“Gerald the ficus. A familiar with seniority, hasn’t missed a single spell”

A quick round: spot the right one in a second.
Black cats, bats and old wives’ tales.
Find something at work or at home that’s staring at you: an outlet with a surprised face, a faucet, a cabinet handle, a bag with a smirk. Snap it, caption it, and vote for other people’s finds in awards like Intense Stare, Screaming and Spotted at the Office.
“The outlet in Conference Room 3. It has seen too many quarterly reviews”

The icons spell a tradition or a superstition. Type the answer.
A crop of the picture and four options.
The most honest finale of October. Two shots in one: how it was supposed to go, and how it actually went. The Pinterest pumpkin and the pumpkin after the knife, decorations for the whole house and one cobweb on the lamp, the spider cake from the recipe and whatever came out of the oven. When the window closes, we announce the results of the calendar.
“Expectation: a Pinterest pumpkin. Reality: a pumpkin that had never met a knife before”

We don’t make anyone join. The tasks are built so people invite each other.
Every task is a minute on a phone, with examples ready. Nobody wonders what they’re supposed to do, so even the quiet ones join in.
A ghost in a window, a childhood costume, a horror-movie remake, an outlet with a face: you want to know who made it and show the person next to you.
Authors share the link themselves and ask for votes. Every entry brings in new viewers.
A funny picture gets forwarded without explanation, and it works better than any email from HR.
Pumpkins, candy, pets, childhood costumes and friendly horror: things people already love to share. No gore, no jump scares, nothing about how anyone looks.
Photos go up after review. Jokes stay jokes, and people aren’t afraid to post.
