ONE ROUND

Night, day, the vote

  1. 01 · Night · 30 seconds

    The town sleeps

Cameras and mics go dark. The mafia pick a target in a secret chat, and the sheriff checks one player. Only the sheriff sees the answer.

  2. 02 · Day · 1 minute each

    Everyone makes a case

The game announces who's gone, then hands each player the floor in turn. Only the speaker's mic is open, so nobody talks over anyone.

  3. 03 · Vote · 30 seconds

    The town decides

A secret vote. Whoever gets the most votes is out, and the game can reveal their role. A tie gets a defense speech and a second vote.

The town wins when no mafia are left. The mafia win when they match the town in number.

ROLES

Four roles, two sides

The classic set, dealt at random. No browser holds the full deal until the game is over.

  • TOWN

    Townsperson

Spot the mafia and vote them out during the day.

    Everyone else

  • TOWN

    Sheriff

Checks one player each night and learns whether they're mafia.

    One per table

  • MAFIA

    Mafia

Takes out the town by night. Sees the rest of the mafia and a secret chat.

  • MAFIA

    Don

Leads the mafia. When they can't agree on a target, the don decides.

TABLE SIZE

The table fits the people

Someone always runs late, so there's no fixed ten. The game deals for whoever sits down, and the mafia are always fewer than half.

VOICE AND CAMERAS

The game holds the mic

Faces sit right at the table, so there's no second call to open. The server decides who can talk, so at night no mic can be turned on, even on purpose.

WHERE TO PLAY

Online, in the office, or inside a bigger event

One game, four ways to set it up.

  • Remote team

A link and a name, and you're at the table. Faces and voices are inside the game.

  • One room

Sit together and talk out loud, while phones handle the phases, the secret moves and the vote.

  • Several tables

More than ten people? Each team gets its own table in its own room, and the games run at the same time.

  • A stage in your event

Mafia Night fits into a program next to a quiz or an adventure. Finish the game, and the stage counts.

FAQ

Questions about Mafia Night

Six to ten at one table. With more people, the game splits them across several tables that play at the same time. An eleventh person at a table watches as a spectator.

No. The game deals the roles, runs the night and the day, gives each player the floor and counts the votes.

Nothing. Players join by link from a phone or laptop, and the game opens in the browser with voice and cameras inside it.

Yes. Both are off by default, because someone may be sitting in an open office. Each player turns them on when ready.

The table doesn't wait. If a mafia player disconnects at night, the game makes their move.

With one-minute speeches: 7–11 minutes for six people, 9–20 for eight and 19–26 for ten. Thirty-second speeches make it roughly half that.

The stage counts for the table once the game is finished. Which side won doesn't change the team's points.
