COMPANY ANNIVERSARY · ON YOUR FOUNDING DATE
Company anniversary events that bridge year one and year ten
A milestone is the one event with a story already written: yours. The trap is that the story only belongs to the people who were there, and most of the company was not.

THREE FORMATS
One live session, a week of play, or a calendar
- LIVE
Big Game
A host brings everyone into the same story at the same time. The whole company in one session.
70-90 min · live host · 5-10,000 players
For this occasion
The founding date, or the closest workday, with leadership opening the session.
- ASYNC
Marathon
The same story over 1-5 days. People play when their day allows, and the leaderboard closes at the end.
1-5 days · no host · any time zone
For this occasion
An anniversary week for offices in several time zones: everyone plays, nobody stays late.
- DAILY
Advent Calendar
A short task a day for 4 days to 3 weeks: shared canvases the whole company fills, photo contests and quick solo quizzes.
4 days–3 weeks · 1–3 min a day · up to 50,000 players
See the advent calendar →For this occasion
The weeks before the founding date, with windows about the company’s history and a quiz the team will recognize.
OUR PICKS
Our three picks for an anniversary
An office in meltdown that ends at the rooftop party, a game about time, and a retro arcade the whole team has to clear together.
- Top pick
AVENTURAS · Big Game / Marathon
Office Chaos
Your first day at the most chaotic office in town
Why it fits
The one we lead with for anniversaries. Four floors of an office in meltdown, a crisis on every floor that nobody can solve alone, and the whole company making it up to the rooftop party. It is a celebration that has to be earned together, which is what the anniversary is about.
Inside the game
AVENTURAS · Big Game / Marathon
Adventure Through the Ages
Una máquina del tiempo, una línea temporal rota, su equipo para repararla
Why it fits
The milestone told as a long road. Four eras of history, and your own company can be added as a fifth.
Inside the game
AVENTURAS · Big Game / Marathon
Mission 8-Bit
Su equipo está atrapado dentro de una sala recreativa retro
Why it fits
A retro arcade where no level can be cleared alone. It plays like a trip back to where the company started, and with the story tier the levels become your own milestones, from the first office to this year.

What teams ask for
- A version of the company story that includes people who joined last month.
- Something to keep: a recap, a certificate, a picture that goes in the deck.
- Leadership in the room, opening it, not presenting through it.
What to steer clear of
- A slideshow of old photographs. It divides the room into those who recognise them and those who do not.
- Anything that reads as another holiday party with a different label.
WHEN TO BOOK
Start two to three months before the date
An anniversary cannot move, and the version worth running is the one written around your history. That takes lead time.
- 1
2-3 months out
Brief the story
Milestone years, the fifth, the tenth, the twenty-fifth, are the ones to plan early. That is when the story gets rewritten around your history.
- 2
10 business days out
The floor for a customized game
Your branding, your leaders as characters, or your company as a fifth era. Nothing custom ships in less.
- 3
3 business days out
The floor for a live game
A hosted Big Game off the shelf. Two business days for a Marathon.
- 4
The date
Leadership opens, the teams play
Run it on the founding date or the closest workday, and let the CEO open the session rather than present through it.
Anniversaries run on the date you were founded, and teams book two to three months ahead. Milestone years, the fifth, the tenth, the twenty-fifth, get planned earlier and spend more than a recurring event.
MAKE IT YOURS
Put your history inside the game
- $1,000
Your branding

Your company's history as a fifth era in Adventure Through the Ages: the founding year, the first launch, the moment it turned.
Take one, or all three for $7,500. Any customization needs 10 business days.
Coca-Cola HBC
- The brief
- LearnFest runs for the whole company. The closing event had to hold 6,000 people across 28 countries at the same time, on one connection, with no installs.
- What we built
- Two 30-minute virtual journeys back to back, Tokyo then New York, hosted end to end.

Citibank
- The brief
- 800 people in a banking operation, on shifts and in branches, who could not all be online at any one hour.
- What we built
- Game Marathon over a single day, branded, about 10 minutes per person, played whenever their shift allowed.

Playrix
- The brief
- A global mobile-games studio wanted an event their people would recognise as theirs, not as a vendor's template with a logo dropped on it.
- What we built
- Austin, their own character, rebuilt as a playable NPC: he greets the team, sets the tasks and reacts to what they do.

MORE DATES
Other occasions worth planning now
ONBOARDING · WHENEVER A COHORT STARTS
Onboarding events where a new cohort actually meets the company
New hires meet their manager, their laptop and a compliance video. They rarely meet each other, and almost never meet anyone outside their own team, which is exactly what makes month three lonely.
DECEMBER PARTY · DECEMBER 1 – 22
The December party, for a company that is not in one room
The end-of-year event is the one everybody remembers and the one that ages worst. A quiz in a Zoom grid is not a party, and a happy hour excludes whoever has a family at six.
Questions we get
- What actually gets customised for an anniversary?
- Usually the story: the arc is rewritten around your history, your milestones and your own people as characters. Branding and in-game leaders are the lighter tiers under it.
- How long before the date should we start?
- Two to three months if you want the story rewritten. Ten business days is the floor for a customised build, three for a hosted game off the shelf.
- Do you have an anniversary case we can read?
- Yes. An iGaming studio ran their anniversary for four hundred people as a fully customised game: 89% took part against a 75% target. The numbers are on the homepage.
- Will people who joined recently feel left out?
- That is the trap to design around. We write the custom story about where the company is going as much as where it came from, and cast people from every tenure, not only the first ten employees.
- What does an anniversary event cost?
- Pricing is per event and set by team size, with no per-head fee. Customization is $1,000, $2,500 or $5,000, or all three for $7,500, and most milestone years take the story tier. The calculator shows the full price for your date.
