The end-of-year event is the one everybody remembers and the one that ages worst. A quiz in a Zoom grid is not a party, and a happy hour excludes whoever has a family at six.
When to book
December events run December 1 to 22, and booking opens in early November. The second and third weeks of December are the first to go, and the last working Friday is usually gone by mid-November.

What teams ask for
- One event for the whole company, including the people who never come to the office.
- Something to look back on: a recap, a leaderboard, pictures worth putting in Slack.
- Recognition that lands inside the event rather than as a slide deck before it.
What to steer clear of
- Anything after hours. It reads as unpaid work no matter how good it is.
- A party that quietly assumes drinking. Half a distributed team is in a country or a life where it does not apply.

- Can we do the year-in-review inside the game?
- Yes, that is what custom trivia is usually bought for in December: your own year, your own milestones, written into the rounds.
- How many people can join at once?
- One session holds up to ten thousand. Pricing is per event, not per head, so the last hundred people cost nothing extra.
- We need it in two languages. Possible?

- A global mobile-games studio wanted an event their people would recognise as theirs, not as a vendor's template with a logo dropped on it.
