THANKSGIVING · NOVEMBER 18 – 26

Thanksgiving team events for the week nobody can get everyone online

Half the team is travelling, the other half is covering. The event that works that week is short, warm and does not punish the people who miss it.

TWO FORMATS

One live session, or a week of play

  • LIVE

    Big Game

A host brings everyone into the same story at the same time. The whole company in one session.

    70-90 min · live host · 5-10,000 players

    For this occasion

Sixty minutes, and the earlier in the week the better. In 2026 that is Tuesday, November 24.

  • ASYNC

    Marathon

The same story over 1-5 days. People play when their day allows, and the leaderboard closes at the end.

1-5 days · no host · any time zone

    For this occasion

The five working days from November 18 to 24, with the leaderboard closing before the long weekend.

OUR PICKS

Our three picks for Thanksgiving week

An expedition, an office that runs on helping each other, and a whodunit the whole team solves at one table. Warm, without asking anyone to share in a circle.

  • Top pick

AVONTUREN · Big Game / Marathon

    Last Temple Mystery

Ontcijfer een oude tempel voordat de tijd op is

    Why it fits

The one we lead with that week. An expedition, chamber by chamber, reads as what the team got through together this year, and it carries the gratitude without naming it.

    Inside the game

  • AVONTUREN · Big Game / Marathon

    Office Chaos

Your first day at the most chaotic office in town

    Why it fits

Four floors of coworkers in crisis, and the only way up is to help each of them. Gratitude as a game mechanic, and it ends at the rooftop party right before the long weekend.

    Inside the game

  • MYSTERIES · Big Game / Marathon

    The Dragon's Tear

An ancient relic is stolen. Your team runs the investigation

    Why it fits

An hour-long whodunit the whole team solves at one table: witnesses, an alchemist's puzzle box and a closed hearing with five suspects. It suits the short, warm session that week, and nobody has to share anything but a theory.

    Inside the game

What teams ask for

  • Short. Sixty minutes is the ceiling that week, and forty-five is safer.
  • Something that carries gratitude without a round of forced sharing.
  • A format that survives half the invited list being out of office.

What to steer clear of

  • Anything that only works if everyone shows up. That week, they will not.
  • A gratitude circle. The intent is right, the format makes people brace.

WHEN TO BOOK

Book in late October, play on Tuesday of Thanksgiving week

The week holds two and a half workable days, and host availability runs out before your calendar does.

  1. 1

    Late October

    Lock the date

Monday to Wednesday is the whole window. Nothing runs on Thanksgiving itself, and nothing runs on the Friday after.

  2. 2

    10 business days out

Last call for a customized game

Your branding, your leads as characters in the game, or your year written into the story. Anything custom needs ten business days.

  3. 3

    3 business days out

Last call for a live game

A hosted Big Game off the shelf. Two business days for a Marathon. That week the host calendar is thinner than usual, so treat it as a floor rather than a plan.

  4. 4

    November 23 – 25

    Event days

Keep it to sixty minutes and finish before Wednesday afternoon. Attendance falls off a cliff from there.

Thanksgiving events run November 18 to 26, and teams book from late October. The Tuesday and Wednesday before the holiday are the only two hours most companies can actually hold.

MAKE IT YOURS

Make it your team's year, not a generic November hour

  • $1,000

    Your branding

Your logo and colors on the intro screens and the final leaderboard.

  • $2,500

    Your people in the game

Your team leads as characters inside the game, so the thank-you comes from a name people know rather than from a calendar invite.

  • $5,000

    Your story

Your year written into the story: what shipped, what got saved at the last minute, the jokes that survived all twelve months.

Take one, or all three for $7,500. Any customization needs 10 business days.

MORE DATES

Other occasions worth planning now

  • DECEMBER PARTY · DECEMBER 1 – 22

The December party, for a company that is not in one room

The end-of-year event is the one everybody remembers and the one that ages worst. A quiz in a Zoom grid is not a party, and a happy hour excludes whoever has a family at six.

  • COMPANY ANNIVERSARY · ON YOUR FOUNDING DATE

Company anniversary events that bridge year one and year ten

A milestone is the one event with a story already written: yours. The trap is that the story only belongs to the people who were there, and most of the company was not.

Questions we get

What if only half the team can make it?
Then run a marathon instead of a live session. People play their stage when they can, and the leaderboard is the shared moment rather than the hour.
Is there a Thanksgiving-specific game?
No, and it does not need one. The fit comes from the framing: an expedition or an office crisis the team gets through together reads as the year it got through. Food trivia and trivia about your own year are there too, as the lighter option.
How late can we book?
Three business days for a hosted session, but the week itself is thin on host availability. Booking by mid-November is the safe move.
What about the people on the team who do not celebrate Thanksgiving?
None of these games is a Thanksgiving game, so the framing is yours to set. Teams with colleagues outside the US usually call it the end-of-year stretch rather than Thanksgiving, and a Marathon lets people play on their own working days instead of joining a US holiday week.
What does an event that week cost?
Pricing is per event and set by team size, with no per-head fee. A Marathon runs ×1.0 for one day up to ×3.0 for five. Customization is $1,000, $2,500 or $5,000, or all three for $7,500, and most Thanksgiving-week events skip it. The calculator shows the full price for your date.
